Just after the first of the year we had one of the Piano Guys, the behind the scenes director, who is related to one of our missionaries, come and talk to us at the ROC.  He told us about how they got started in St. George and how they had progressed over the last few years.  I could have listened to him for hours, he was that good.  
 

Too bad I can't remember his name.

 

We had a luncheon afterwards and talked a bit.

 In February we had Samantha Sulser and Amanda Terry down for training and updating.

 Additioinally, the next day, they all toured the Tabernacle where we are hoping we will be able to set up a new ROC for about 30 to 40 more missionaries.

 

This is pretty much what the space looks like now.  we hope to be able to put computer desks and monitors in here for missionaries rto work at.  The space has been promised to us and Salt Lake is happy about the arrangement.

While we were there, we got a tour of the main floor of the Tabernacle.  This is the pulpit end of the main hall.  The St. George Tabernacle has been around since the late 1800s and is a very historic building for both the church and the town.

 

Some of the details on the far wall, the "All Seeing Eye".  This building was erected about 2 years before the St. George temple in 1875.

 

They were putting in the wood flooring the day we visited.  A lot of noise.
