We took the last of the evening off to go watch the Old Nauvoo "Rendezvous" for the last time that our dear site missionary sisters have been in.  this was their last night so it was with a heavy heart that they were acting this evening.  We worked until a little after 6, got dressed in our "civies" and went down to the cultural hall to see the show.

Sister Webb was ready to get the show started with her sweet smile.
The opening chorus for all of us to enjoy.  It's the story of Nauvoo and what the pioneers did in this town while they were here.  It's pretty remarkable and always entertaining.
She's trying to find a place to buy a pickle barrel under the guise of seeing him but she really likes him and he likes her.  She's not overly fond of his Book of Mormon and wants him to get rid of it and come with her.  It's not happening.  Pretty interesting drama unfolding here.
As the Saints prepare to abandon Nauvoo and go West in 1844, she is telling her hubby that she is not moving and she is staying in no uncertain terms.  Some of the antics happen so fast they are really hard to get on camera, I just got lucky on this one.
She eventually gives in, they have an understanding, and begins to prepare to trek to the Big Valley beyond the borders of the US.
The brother on the left plays a near mute hubby that is pretty much brow-beaten by his nearly constant talking wife, the one up the pole.  This is probably the hardest part to play, I have no idea how she does it.  The doctor has decided she "needs" an extended rest after an elaborate scheme by the husband to have the doctor see that the wife is a tad bit on the "nuts" side.
The doc takes her away for a while and the hubby gets some much needed quiet time.
The Saints gather to talk about their leaving Nauvoo and the future.
The gal is back from her extended rest, the other gal accepts the Book of Mormon and goes West with her future husband, everything turns out OK.  Hey, it's a melodrama, it's supposed to end that way!
The cast sings their final goodbye to the appreciative audience.  We had a great time.  It's hard not to.
Well, we are almost out of days.  Saturday is our last day at the temple.  We have our exit interview with the temple president this afternoon.  I guess we'll be getting our release letter then.  Don't know for sure.  Kind of wondering if I need to show up on Friday and Saturday but I guess I should, huh?  There are only 2 engineers on those nights so I guess it's relatively important that I do.  But, I have done everything I came to do.  I am just marking time at this point.  The engineer that came to replace Bro Hendricks worked Tuesday and Wednesday night so he is done with me.  I really don't have much to do these next couple of nights.  They are going to be long nights.  I did talk to the janitor gals Tuesday night and they will be missing us.  So, I suppose we will be missed.  We had a missionary meeting yesterday afternoon and the president had us stand and say something nice to all of the missionaries so we did.  That's over now.  Sunday is our last day in Burlington Ward and Fast Sunday so we will say goodbye to all of our friends there.  I guess this is really happening...finally.  Just a couple more days and we will be on the road to Kirtland...can't wait...more to come as we visit the sites there and in Palmyra.
